Materiality Analysis

Beauty Brass is aware of the growing interest of customers, investors and institutions in environmental and social sustainability issues and has understood the need to pay increasing attention tothese topics.
He feels the need to start a path towards sustainability and therefore, it intends to identify the most important aspects.
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an international non-profit body that has developed and periodically updated guidelines for reporting on sustainability aspects of organizations. The GRI guidelines are the most internationally accredited and are called GRI-Standards.
One of the fundamental concepts underlying the sustainability reporting that finds full development within the GRI Standards is materiality.
By materiality we mean the threshold from which a sustainability aspect becomes significant for the company and its stakeholders and therefore must be managed responsibly and included in the sustainability reports.
The significant sustainability aspects are identified in a process known as materiality analysis.

The materiality
To carry out a materiality analysis, according to the most updated version of the GRI Standards, the 2021 edition, two parallel paths are implemented:
•Identification of the impdeeds, actual and potential, positive and negative, of the organization on the economy, the environment, people and their human rights, through the involvement of senior management
•Identification of stakeholder expectations through the involvement of corporate stakeholders whose point of view is collected regarding the identification of impacts and their valorisation.
The result of the analysis is the list of material topics which reflects the topics whose impacts are relevant for the organization and on which to focus the action and reporting commitments.
Methodological approach for impact assessment:
theIdentification of the significant aspects relating to the impacts generated, positive or negative, which determine risk scenarios that need to be known and managed. The significant aspects are identified by involving, in the first place, the company management.

In don 28/03/2023 the owners of the company participatedat a meeting dedicated to identification of impacts for Beauty Brass S.r.l., supported by the referents Warrant Hub.
The intent is was to know and give priority to what could be, according to the perception of the management involved in the survey, the material sustainability issues that are significant for the organization by analyzing the impacts related to them and declined on the three dimensions of sustainability: economic, social and environmental.
During the meeting, with the support of a dedicated questionnaire, the owner was then asked to assign a significance score to each impact.
Taking these considerations into account, the level of significance for each impact was then assessed taking into account the aspects of Importance, i.e. how 'significant' the impact could be if it occurred, and Probability of occurrence. From the importance and probability, the relevance of the impact was then traced through an internal scoring calculation methodology. The impacts were then correlated to a theme to which a relevance score has been assigned which takes into account the average of the importance and probability values assigned to the individual impacts. The material topics identified were subsequently subjected to indirect engagement, through documentary analysis, in order to know the level of significance of the same for the company stakeholders.
